Did Cotto dent the granite chin? / Was Margo cheating?

If the gloves were loaded, which I have a feeling they were then that had a profound effect. It definately could have been the cause of what turned the fight in the 7th when he hurt Miguel and robbed Cotto of his 0. If it is then shame on Margarito. He robbed a great fighter of a very good win.

you are right on all but i think mosley paid attention to cotto game plan on margo with the exeption of staying on the ropes and absorbing punches but he had a plan and stuck with it. a job well done

 

I think cotto did soften that chin up. If you look at Margo after the fight he looked like he lost alot of brain cells. But at the end of the day plaster or no plaster,Cotto still got his ass whooped and hopefully he recovered ok.

 

i think it was just the classic moment of getting hit with a monster shot that you didn't see coming. Margarito assimilated alot of the blows that mosely threw because he saw them. The shot that started the end landed right on the chin and he didn't see it.

 

Exactly. Margarito kicked Cotto's ass, then knocked him out. Mosley is the one who was able to dent Margarito's chin, not Cotto is. It shows who's the ATG and who's the hype job.

It's Mosley's punches and POWER that troubled Margarito and you can see it from the FIRST round when he seriously stunned Margarito after landing a bomb flush. It's also the fact that Margarito was losing hope because he wasn't landing ANYTHING and was getting pummeled in returned. Against Cotto, even though he was eating a lot of major bombs, Margarito was also landing his own and busted Cotto's nose as early as round 2. Mosley used defense and used his head, exposed Margarito to what he really is, fought the way Margarito WANTED by exchanging with him and BEATING him at it because Marg is a zombie.

What Cotto did was go to the ropes and get the **** beat out of him because he figured defense is against pride. As Margarito believed too which is why both ended on the canvas.

 

you talk about boxing fans being disgraces for accusing margarito of cheating when all you do is talk about "hype jobs" and "glass jawed jokes."
