Did Cotto/Margarito meet, exceed, or failed to live up to your expectations?

best fight ive seen so far this year, ****ing incredible. Truth is I bet both sides of fans were shitting bricks all through the fight. I didnt know how long Margo could take as much shots and Cotto fans knew that the fight was almost ending at certain points.

 

it exceeded my expectations however it wasn't the result i wanted but what a brilliant fight.

 

Not to sound like Emanuel Steward ; but this fight went exactly how I thought it would.

 

I had Cotto coming in... but this fight way exceeded my expectations- it's worth whatever money you paid for it!

 

It was one of the greatest fights ive ever seen.

It had drama, blood, a come from behind victory, and it was emotional at the end with Cotto having to leave to the hospital right after the fight. It was the best that boxing had to offer. It showed why there is no better sport than boxing.

 

I have never been so happy after a sporting event since Liverpool beat Ac Milan in the Champions league final 2005

I was expecting a good fight with cotto boxing on the outside, but what I witnessed IMO was a great fight....(can't see how this one won't make fight of the year )

 

It only met my expectations. I expected it to be one of the most entertaining/dramatic fights in my lifetime and it was. The only way it could have exceeded my expectations was if it was another Coralles/Castillo I.

 

although my fighter lost i must say it was a monsterous fight......between cotto's brilliant boxing performance and the shere number of power shots taken by each fighter, then throw in the build up and the TKO victory.....fight of the year easily


but here's my top 5 fights this year (note...i haven't seen vasquez vs. marquez)

Cotto Vs Margarito
Marquez Vs Pacquiao
David "Hayematrix" Haye Vs. that white guy
Campbell Vs. Katsidis
Torres Vs. Holt II

and there's also been some other monsterious fights, and even some great onesided ones too....it's been a great year for the sport in my opinion, plus we still got some great fights too look forward to and potential fights in the making.......it's a good time to be a boxing fan

 

i was telling friends that if it was a good fight, cotto loses. if its a shitty fight, cotto wins.

it went exactly as i expected. It didn't exceed.

Vasquez vs. Marquez III is still the greatest fight this year and ever.

 

Great fight, but since Imma Cotto fan...it sure didnt live up to my expectations. I sure didnt expect him to take a knee...

Def. Exceeded my expectations, but I wouldn't call it foty though. Just wasn't enough drama in it. It looked to me like Margo was beating him down from the 2nd round and on. Cotto was getting hit, and he just didn't know what to do.
