Did Cotto outbox Mayweather in certain times of their fight?

    at times. It was very odd to see that, he outboxed him certain moments of rounds your second option is stretching it a bit too much for me to choose it.

    Cotto is one of my favorite fighters to watch but the only thing that was landing for him was the straight left, everything else wasn't really connecting. It was a entertaining fight though.

    he won 3 straight rounds on my card think it was 5th 6th and 7th so yes

    suprised me with those quick uppercuts he landed when they were tied up in the middle of the ring

    he outworked mayweather on the ropes numerous times which translates to "out boxing". You can't discriminate between outside boxing as the exclusive domain of "boxing" and leave in fighting out of the equation. So yes, Cotto did at several times in the fight.

    By the way, the Cotto vs Mayweather fight was superb. One of the few feel good fights we've had on the elite level in a while.
     
  7. Outboxed him for 5 rounds. If cotto wasnt shot he would have won easy.

    Not really out boxed but he certainly out muscled him at times.

    When he was offsetting Mayweather's pressure with movement and timing him in the center of the ring with his jab, certainly.

    i had him winning 4 rounds there was one round though where he CLEARLY got the better of Floyd

    I remember when cotto got may with an uppercut by surprise then floyd tried a right hand lead and totally missed. Cool Stuff.
