Did Cotto quit against Margarito?

    I voted yes, but I think it was more of like giving up and losing hope.....the term quitting is a bit too harsh. Marg took the fight out of him.

    I disagree. If you concede defeat as a direct result of punches taken, then you have been beaten at boxing, you have not simply chose to stop fighting. Conceding defeat when you know you cannot win and know you are endangering your health is not simply not fancying fighting on.

    Whereas, turning away from your opponent for any reason other than damage on account of punches sustained is a conscious decision to quit.

    Boxing is about punching. If you are punched into a state where you know you can't win, then conceding defeat should not be labelled quitting. This isn't dog-fighting.
