Mayweather the CSAC USADA & Vegas Boxing combined to let Mayweather cheat , Got caught & therefore ruined what credibility boxing had . To the lay-man boxing is on a parr with pro wrestling They've ruined the greatest sport on earth
Cotto helped himself by winning the Title...he didn't help the division! I felt his first defense should've been vs GGG at 160 lbs. kind of disappointing. Unfortunately he learned how much the catchweight can disadvantage your opponent from Pacquiao the king of them !!!
Tell me something Dan? How can Gennady beat someone who refuses to fight him. I'm sure Gennady would have preferred to fight Pollo for the belt. He could have had fun beating on & humiliating Pollo before KO ing him. But Pollo did a fine job of humiliating himself by surrendering his bogus WBC belt so meekly:scaredas:atsch
No one guy ruins a title or a division. It dies by a thousand cuts like Julius Caesar. Martinez should have fought Golovkin for the title, but he went with Cotto. Cotto ducked Golovkin and went with Geale, then Alvarez. Alvarez ducked Golovkin and fought Khan then dropped the belt. Meanwhile, Quillin drops a belt instead of fighting Golovkin and Saunders turns down a fight he'd almost certainly lose. It took a lot of guys doing ****ed up stuff to get us to this point. The alphabet organizations come in for their share of blame not ranking each other's champions and making multiple belts (gold, diamond, silver, interim, super) for every weight class too.
No Hopkins did it. He dominated @160 then he left for LHW but destroyed the middlweightchamp (Pavlik)
Cotto and the WBC made a mockery of the sport by making legit title defenses at catchweights good thing Cotto no longer has the title at MW, he can go back to 154 where he belongs
I will say no You can't blame a boxer for jumping up and stealing a belt in a higher division most recents that stand out in my mind PAC DLH Floyd Broner Cotto The list goes on and on so no
Very nice post It is so uncommon on here these days so I value the thought you placed on your postdeal
