Joyces mother is actually quite a character from the cowpoke of interviews I've seen.

Much more chatty and outgoing than her son.

 

Tbf, it’s not really ideal your mom getting in on the cussing, it’s bound to backfire. I think I could have told her to sit down an be quiet without feeling bad

 

You know we all at one point or another give Joe some ribbing because he’s slow... I’ve done it myself, but I have to admit his determination,toughness, and attitude is really growing on me. He seems like a genuinely nice guy who comes to fight.
As for the topic of Joe’s mom, Daniel didn’t need to say that unless he was trying to create some buzz... all he had to say was I’ll be there.

Did that comment by DDD prove that he`s a nasty piece of work and got what he deserved?

People say that she had it coming, goading him.

Regardless, you don't make a remark like that unless you're the type of person that has that in you. That's bottom of the barrel stuff that wouldn't cross the minds of many more ethical people.

 

Joyce needs to tell mom to keep a lid on it. It wasn’t nice what he said but she was obviously trying to irritate him

 

My family would have chinned him for saying something like that to a stricken relative, he`s a piece of garbage.

Honestly don't feel like it was in that poor taste from Dubois.

It's just part of the build up and I'm sure he would have apologized about it if he had won.

We as fans like a bit of beef in a big fight.

Lets be honest it was funny, and i'd say it would have got under most other fighters skins.

Didn't do anything to Joyce though, he is just a bit different. Not the typical fighter.

 

I try not to pay attention to all the fake drama used in boxing to either talk trash (before or after) or sell fights.

(Did anyone seriously think McNeeley was going to wrap Mike Tyson in a “cocoon of horror”?)

Boxing is a sport, not to mention a billion dollar business, and sports are entertainment. I honestly believe half of what they say on social media is scripted.

In the same sport, Tyson Fury contradicts himself bi-weekly and showed up dressed as Batman. I don’t believe he actually thinks he’s Batman. Mike Tyson said he wanted to eat Lennox Lewis heart. I don’t believe he actually wanted to eat his heart.

Boxers say stupid things. FULL STOP.

Dubois may have meant to be a jerk and then learned an important lesson.
Dubois may have meant it as funny and then it came out wrong.
Dubois may have been put on the spot and then responded poorly.
Dubois may have may have may have.....

I’m not a teenager anymore and cringe worthy drama isn’t something I tend to want to talk about because you just never know. What we do know is that Joyce beat that kid as if he was owed money.
