Far from it he gave him a $375,000 payday and all he had to do for it is lose 9kg in 7 weeks. Cameron was never that good anyhow he lost everytime he stepped up at HW,struggled with a bloated Ammann over the CW limit, apparently bad against McCracken and went life and death with Vea. He beat a shot Barrett at HW and somehow Phil Austin got Green v Cameron sanctioned for the vacant IBO CW(don't ask me how that's boxing for you). His god awful performances against Minto and Meehan could be attributed to yo-yoing between heavyweight and Dannyweight I suppose. But IMO he was s**t to begin with.
Maybe Cameron had carry over points from when he was first conceived? lol He was the 9th best heavyweight in the world ya know lol. Green wanted another trinket belt to retire with and cheated his way into getting it. All one has to do is look at the Briggs v Green fight to look at how far this guy will go to cheat his way through a title defence and con the public at the same time, then reach around and pinch ya wallet while he is smiling right at your face and telling porkie pies. He will go down in AUS as the biggest fraud in boxing we have produced.
Tye i think thats a bit harsh, yes the Briggs fight was a disgrace. Yes the i.b.o title was a joke and gifted to him. Yes most half descent world rated cruisers knocked him stupid. Yes the man was very limited but look at all the things he has done. Captain of Aust olympic team, national champ, knocked world champions and exs on there asses. I for one never thoght he whould go as far as he did with his ability, and in the process made a name for himself and a ton of money, set for life.
Its not just the fight that was a disgrace but the way he held himself right afterwards and then doing a complete back flip the very next day treating all his fans and anyone who watched the fight like a pack of total re****s that had it all wrong. We all seen a dive, clear as crystal, he should have stood by what he said after the fight AND what he said during the interview on the same night in his hotel room. I dont think he went very far at all, he only ever one one legit WT which was pretty much given to him and he never defended it once. 25 March 2008 he announced he was retired. Thats 3 months after winning the WBA LHW Crown. And we all know why he retired. The only world champ he knocked on his ass was Beyer. And TBH he only had three entertaining fights, Wlodarczyk, Tarver and Mundine. He exploited the sport by using the IBO title and did a lot of money in doing so. If it was not for Mundine, he wouldn't have been as successful as he was, and if you doubt that, then just look at how many times after and before the Mundine bout that he has used Mundines name, riding his tail coat if you will and contuined to do so right up until the very end. Even after he said Mundine was an insignificant **** ant. He isnt set for life either. Mundine is set for life and has made much more money in comparison to Green. Green is no Jeff Fenech, he is no World beater, you forget that he had to mortgage his house to get RJJ fight made, he only had 7 more fights after that. Wlodarczyk & Tarver cost him a bit, he wouldn't have made much money on those fights. He paid Tarver 1.5 Million & RJJ 2.5 million. He didn't even pay RJJ all the money he was owed and ended up making an out of court settlement when RJJ filed a suit for the money owed AND for breach of contract in that Green refused to meet his obligation with allowing RJJ to invoke the rematch clause. The lawsuit also involved the use of illegal wraps. If Green did nothing wrong and was happy to meet his contractual obligations etc, why settle out of court? Not just that but i can tell you now, it would not have been cheap. Green would not have been sitting back all happy with the amount of money he had to pay RJJ to make this go away. You don't set yourself for life from 7 fights. He returned to the sport to milk it, to exploit it and to try and set himself up for life with big mega money fights, the only one that did just that was the RJJ fight with a reported 6 million in earnings, however this would have VASTLY diminished with his out of court settlement. He banked it all again vs Tarver, pretty much banking all he had left on the tarver bout, his profit for that fight was dependent on PPV sales and Ticket sales. He is doing well but far from set for life. 3 fights prior he had to mortgage his house to get the RJJ fight made. You do the math, his fights against the POLE & Tarver were done so in desperation to make a mega money fight happen again after he had a taste of what he could earn if doing so when he fought RJJ, he wanted to get rich quick but instead all that happen is he got his marbles scrambled lol End of Rant! :good
r u serious? it astounds me how someone can have SO much hate for a complete stranger. u truly have an illness.
Ty there was pressure on Green to change his mind from crims. Sword boys etc. not people you want to mess with. The ''alleged''leader of the Sword Boys won the court case against centrebet in Darwin for $200,000. Who knows how much more crims made. Green was smart to flip flop the next day.
fast hands claims the OP is 20a87. I'm sure you are already all over it Sherlock and reading up on 3 year old threads to verify it :hey
He's not an alt he posted there as big feller but sallywinder abused him. Now he just posts here calling me Sherlock and probably at borerec with pureist...the boxing trainer...
Are you able to confirm ThePioneer is 20a87 yet? Or do you need a 24 hour extension on the case Sherlock?
hilarious!! mr.google will go through post after post on threads years old for anything, even if its just a spelling mistake, just to post anti green ****, lol. he doesn't have any friends here anymore now either
I'm not really sure what happened in this thread. I asked a simple question based on Cameron and his diminishing career after facing Danny Green and his power, the guy was willing to face Brock Lesnar a few years ago so it was a valid question. Who is 20a87???
