Did Danny 'Swift' Garcia fake a rib injury to avoid Matthysse?

Im a huge fan of Danny Garcia as you all know. But with Matthysse beating Mike Dallas and becoming Dannys mandatory and the bad rep Angel has created with his trash talk, the fans have been gunning for Matthysse to beat Dannys ass.

Had the rib injury not happened and Danny beat Judah, Matthysse would be right on schedule to fight next. But now, with the Garcia-Judah bout being pushed out to April, Matthysse has to take another fight, or sit in limbo waiting and being inactive.

Now Peterson vs Matthysse is being made and Garcia can fight the winner of that or decide to take another title defense. Team Garcia was being pressured and pushed into.a fight with Matthysse. They clearly dont think highly of him and plus who doesnt want to have MORE options than less. The rib injury created more options.

Well he did say he was injured mere moments after Matthysse killed Dallas.

I wasn't talking to you, you mong. But to imply that Dallas Jr. was some high quality opponent, and that seeing him sparked somehow spooked Danny, is kind of silly.

Thats not what i implied, it was in reference to him just winning the fight, becoming Dannys mandatory and lining up that fight to be next for Danny, forcing Team Garcia to make it happen or duck and dodge.

    Well....

    * Matthysse has called Garcia out
    * Its the main fight fans want Matthysse and Garcia in next
    * The WBC has officially said Garcia has to fight Lucas next

If Garcia manages to dodge him after all this, he officially becomes a ****ing joke of a champion n all rational boxing fans and hopefully the boxing establishment start calling him out on it.

Thats why Id almost rather just see Lucas not take the Peterson fight. Wait it out and get the fight hes been waiting his whole career for. Hes putting his now almost sure shot in jeapordy in a very very dangerous fight against Peterson. Not to mention all the other things that can happen that Garcia can use to dodge him. Even if he wins, maybe Lucas suffers an injury and Garcia says hes not gonna be waiting around and decides to fight someone else, the landscape changes again and Lucas never gets his shot.

Nah.... imo its not worth it for Lucas. Should have just waited for Garcia n stayed sharp in the gym.

As a fan, Matthysse vs Peterson is a baaaadass fight. But I just dont think it made a whole lot of sense given that he was already next in line.

I wonder if he wasnt going 100%in camp because they had it planned all along, knowing Matthysse and Peterson had fights coming up. Postponing the Judah fight bought them at least another 4 or 5 months before they were forced into a match-up with Matthysse. Now im not one to believe they are afraid of losing to him, but didnt want to be in a situation of being forced into a fight with Matthysse or be seen as ducking. Im sure thwyll have no problem facing the winner of Peterson Matthysse in which the IBF would be up for grabs. Whats better? Fight ur mandatory, or buy some time, make him fight for a belt, then unify later in the year? :deal

I think there are loads of easier ways to avoid a Matthysse who wasn't even scheduled to fight him. Disrupting your training completely and canceling the Zab fight, isn't one of them.

I'm against that fight, too. GBP blatantly don't want Matthysse anywhere near Garcia. So much so that they're even willing to derail him using a ****ing drug cheat.
