Did Dave Allen prove that AJ has a glass jaw?

Whyte was hitting Allen with the kitchen sink, everything he's got for 10 rounds and Allen just ate everything up, hardly flinched, even though he lost.

In round 2 of AJ vs. Whyte, Whyte hit AJ with 1 hook and AJ was almost out on his feet, Whyte just couldn't follow up to KO him. So maybe he has a glass jaw. Thoughts?

If you put Allen in with Big Josh he would get knocked out cold within 6rds. Does that mean he has a glass jaw? Its Heavyweight boxing, everybody has a glass jaw.

He would get knocked out cold because AJ has way more power than Whyte, so your point is void.

Whyte doesn't have that much power as AJ, yet he almost had AJ out on his feet.

But Allen had no problems like that with Whyte. All I saw was Allen eating everything up.

AJ's power is not the question, it's his chin.

seriously... whyte caught him flush on the chin in heavyweight boxing. he recovered well and he has a glass jaw?

if he has a glass jaw, it hasnt been exposed yet. but in heavyweight boxing anyone can be ko'd, glass jaw or not

All of the rumors about Allen appear to be true.... He can take a punch extremely well. But appeared he was in sparring mode which isn't a good sign for his future. In any case.. I think he'll become a popular journeyman and sparring partner in the years to come.

    Some points to consider -

Whyte was not fully committed to all his punches last night

Whyte may have lost some power after his surgery

AJ walked ONTO Whyte's left hook; magnifying the effect of the punch

Allen is a solid guy with a great chin. He is used as a sparring partner because of his durability.

Half of you guys do not have a clue about boxing. I attribute this down to; age, low IQ or general ignorance.

We won't know about Joshua until he fights someone dangerous kong perhaps.iam more concerned about his stamina than his chin as I think he is too muscular if a fight go's into the late rnds will he run out of gas ?we shall see.

Not even close, the dude sparred hundreds of rounds with Wlad and AJ without being dropped. Allen, limited as he is, has a titanium chin, it's no surprise Dillian couldn't hurt him.

That left hook from Whyte which caught AJ flush on the chin could have knocked out many heavyweights. Whytes power is respectable but he just come up against a guy with an iron chin in Dave Allen.

I dont think Allen took a clean shot flush to the chin, he kept it fairly well tucked so most the shots landed on his face / head. The shot Whyte clipped Joshua with was right on the button, which had him buzzed momentarily no doubt, but hardly the stuff of glass jaws.

I think AJ learned a lot from that fight, before it was talking about getting involved in wars and memorable fights like some kind of heavyweight Arturo Gatti. That is a very dangerous game to play in a division where anyone is a punch away from KO. During his last 2 fights can see him box a lot more conservatively, work behind his jab and wait for the openings. He definitely learned from it and doubt will get so careless again.

aj in the amatuers was hurt a few times although only on the deck v whyte that i saw and those were flash knockdowns.

he was hurt but recovered within 10 secs v whyte pro fight.

what it proves to early to tell

holyfield was only kept upright by the ropes from a single left hook from burt cooper / but took everything tyson and lewis threw at him.

allen looks like a tough man / fit /chunky/thick core and legs / and looked for what was coming / rather than offense so was not caught with anything he never saw coming/.

this allowed him to ride anything whyte threw/ although as someone has mentioned whyte never loaded up on a lot of shots and looked poor technically last night.

Yep this,AJ walked onto a good shot and was clearly rocked but he did recover, this is Box,it's gonna happen,I was impressed with how AJ boxed his way to a KO in that match.
As for Whyte he doesn't look like he trains much and will amount to nothing unless he gets fit.

Whyte trains. His genetics means he will always be a little fatty around the mid section area. He is naturally big, thick and strong.

What he needs to improve on is recognising his weaknesses, keeping his ego in check and always be willing to put gym time in like AJ does. AJ is a gym rat and always improving. Whyte is trading on toughness at the moment.

Whyte is awful. The fact he was in the fight briefly dont look to good for AJ. Brezeale going deep neither
