AJ's biggest wins: Kevin Johnson. Lost 5 of his 6 fights before fighting AJ. And this included guys like Charr and Christian Hammer. Gary Cornish. Literally zero respectable wins by this guy. Denis Bakhtov. No respectable wins in the last 10 years. Lost to Arnold Gjergjaj. Check out Haye vs Gjergjaj if that does't mean anything to you. Charles Martin. Zero respectable wins except Glazkov, who simply hurt his knee while fighting. Dominic Breazeale. Zero respectable wins except Mansour, who was dominating Breazeale in the fight and on the scorecards until Mansour got a severe tongue injury and had to stop. Dillian Whyte. "Prospect." Biggest win was 40 year old Brian Minto, who lost to two nobodies before and after fighting Whyte. None of these wins proved anything about AJ. Now we have one of his biggest wins looking like trash.
:deal Meanwhile people are saying he's better than Lewis and would ruin guys like Klitschko, fury and wilder all in one night
I still like Whyte but he needs time to develop, but I thought he looked fine in there. Although I do think Whyte loses to Parker and is competitive with the overrated Takam but no guarantee to win. The way some fans are reacting to this fight, you see why Haye would avoid Briggs, or GGG to act like Lara doesn't exist, if they are forced to go the distance for any reason. Haye for instance isn't big enough to knock out even and Briggs and power is a heavy part of his marketing in his comeback.
Anthony Joshua is 6-5, inexperienced, a prospect, mid-20's and undefeated, and he is fighting guys who are; 6-5 inexperienced prospects mid 20's and undefeated. What do you want the guy to do, bring Rocky Marciano back to life?
But but but you said Martin and brezeale would tear through AJ. You are so butthurt it's hilarious, AJ is ruining your life :rofl
Glass jaw is a bit harsh, but I don't think AJ's jaw is that good. At the moment he is one of the best because of his boxing skills and his power, NOT his chin. His chin is mediocre from the evidence we have.
From what I have seen, his chin is not glass and it's not Iron. It is probably average like Lennox Lewis, that means he has to fight tall with good defence. His offensive and boxing ability are what he's renowed for at the moment.
Oh, so we're going back to the Amateurs now to prove a point. He only had 40 amateur bouts, he was largely a novice, and to win Olympic gold or even reach an Olympic final and extend the reigning Olympic champion like he did was quite an astonishing achievement, but that would be concentrating on the positive wouldn't it.
If you are a fighter and you ever get rocked by a shot. That's it's in some fans eyes. Glass chin, can't take a shot etc etc Has it always been like this since day 1. It's madness how fans think that fighters should never ever be rocked when they are fighting in a boxing match.
Joshua is not packing glass. He took a flush shot at the start (round 2) of the fight. That's a round that most heavyweights have most power, they obviously weaken as the fight goes on. Allen is a solid competitor at British / euro level. joshua learnt from that shot and fight, he needed to. he is now a title holder and has won and defended the belt and looked professional doing so. the occasion against whyte was massive for joshua and he just wanted to obliterate him so he got messy and got caught. that wont happen again
Yeh Allen made Whyte look terrible by getting beaten from pillar to post by him for 12 rounds. Joshua also made Whyte look like the real deal by knocking him unconscious. I hear ya bro.
