What's your proof that Dempsey actually won his bouts (outside of Johnson, Sudenberg, Meehan and Flynn) up till Willard? Articles? Hearsay? Books? Where is your proof?

It's not as though we can print for these situations. But we do have some firsthand accounts. I only put these forth for your erudition, to make you the well-rounded scholar I know you can become.

What i like about Mac is that he is a no BS guy and i can put a lot of trust in whatever he is putting forth.

To imply the things Seamust is trying to imply one need irrefutable evidence. You cannot go around besmirching the character of anyone by citing hearsay. He is dead wrong by doing so. He could not be more wrong.

 

McVey is an excellent poster and a reliably knowledgable fellow. But he is cantankerous and definitely guards the plate regarding his heros. You could do worse than believe his every word.

However, I am asking you merely to consider the materials I post, some of which comes from those much more accomplished in this field of fistic than Mr. McVey.
