Its looks differnt in movement, but I try to capturn the right movements of the start of the round, the crowd was up and down, when Dempsey back off.
Dempsey hurt Carpintier when a good body shot, and Dempsey than follows up with more body shots, George is spinning trying to hold on, and in a flash the crowd rises, (I miss the capturn for that it seems) Dempsey lands a few more body shots, and Dempsey backs off, and does not go for the kill. Carpintier would not be in this type of trouble until round 4. It looks differn when there in movement, and sorry, I cant work Youtube with it lol.
It seems against Dempsey's nature to carry an opponent, but he also fights at a much more relaxed pace in this fight. He never seems to be trying to blow Carpentier out, he seems content to just wear him down.
Sometimes when I see what was on ESPN a few years back, it seems like he comes out hard in the first round and, after catching up with Carpentier a few times and banging the body, is content to follow Carpentier around and fall into clinches. This for the first couple rounds. However, I've seen message boarded (here or cyber..., or a youtube comment, I can't remember (I browse cyberboxingzone, but am not a member)) that presentations of this fight sometimes have action from different rounds mixed together, so this makes me hesitant.
This is not the espn version, but the movie theater version show in the 1920's of the fight. Big fights have mix and match rounds. IE Round 1, on Big fights is RELLY round 2. They also cut and paste, and take stuff out, ete, This is mostly the unedit version. Not Big fights.
