Why not just make a thread called "AJ and Spence suck" like half the posters on this board instead of abusing the term sell out or bringing Derek James into it?

He is not. Look at what De La Hoya had already accomplished with the same number of bouts.
Everyone fell in love with Garcia's speed and what did that do for him vs Tank…....nothing.
He's a boxer that knows the power of social media.

I'm saying potential. I do agree with you Oscar had a lot of names on his resume and he was actually more accomplished than most of these guys by the age of 26

Besides speed what really has Garcia shown to indicate that he could possibly be on Oscars level?

I think the fact that James has brought two good looking boxers into his gym will work wonders for both him, the gym, and all his other fighters he trains there. And having a British fighter training in the gym will exponentially raise the level of all the other fighters and likewise his level as a trainer.

James' pro record as a fighter is 21-7-1 with 4 of those losses inside schedule and his amateur record is listed as 0-3 on BoxingRec albeit that must be an imcomplere record

Compare that to superior British trainers like Robert McCracken, Shane McGuigan, and Don Charles to name but a few

McCracken was 33-2 as a pro both losses inside schedule and his amateur record, again it must be incomplete, is listed as 22-7 (eerily similar to James' pro record)

Shane McGuigan went undefeated as a pro. To be fair, he never actually turned pro but he's technically still undefeated in the pros. But he went a very respectable 9-1 in the amateurs.

Don Charles went 0-3 as a pro with all those losses inside schedule. But let's not forget that he holds an unofficial win over the former CW and HW champion of the world David ''The Haymaker'' Haye that night Haye ''glussed'' Chisora so Charles>>James too

McGuigan is dashingly handsome too whereas James looks a bit like an alien

Look at how handsome Britain's most handsome promoter Eddie Hearn is compared to the US' most handsome one Lou Dibella

Pot-belly slob Dibella won't be receiving any calls anytime soon from GQ to do a shoot :risas3::facepalm:

All I'll say to this is, With James being a protégé of one of the most underrated trainers , the late great Curtis Cokes he has done things I'm sure Curtis would not have ever done. He would have never let Spence go into the Crawford fight in that condition or let Ryan Garcia get trampled by Tank Davis. He's got his work cut out for himself by taking on AJ & Jermell Charlo. The AJ supposed " highlight reel" KO over a late replacement doesn't mean a thing either

Derrick did not train Ryan Garcia for the Tank Davis fight. I respect the late great Curtis Cokes highly for many reasons a lot of which you would be aware such as Ike Ibeabuchi etc. Derrick’s abilities as a trainer are to be lauded and turning Jermell into undisputed is fantastic as is his work with my guy EJ. Yes there are questions raised by the Crawford fight which is why we need the rematch because we know we can all do much better.

Shot to **** Spence beat Danny and Ugas like non-shot to **** Spence. Interesting.

Spence fought every opponent the same way and finally versused someone whose whole appeal was versatility.

    Rest is history

You know how I feel about my friend the late great Curtis. Do you REALLY believe Curtis would have let Errol go in there with Bud in the shape he was in????? Do you really believe either of the Charlos are real champions
    Real Champions FIGHT!!!!
In my own personal opinion I believe Errol should go through a thorough examination, both physical & mental, to make sure he is 100% before he is allowed to fight again. This is totally for his own good & well being
Derrick was Ryans trainer for theTank fight he must have known he wasn't ready

No it was Dan Gossen that trained Ryan Garcia for the Tank fight. Jermell is an undisputed world champion. EJ will make amends in the rematch with Bud.

No one has seen Goosen since, the guy's just disappeared, though i'm sure he will have a story made up in time for questioning especially by now.
