Some American posted on here yesterday that HBO didn't want Dirrell anymore after he stank the joint out v Curtis Stevens.
Interesting stories about the Stevens fight, didn't know that. That "I got paid" stuff was not a good idea. If I was HBO, saw that style and heard that, I'd walk away in a second. Jumping on the tournament was a good idea as tv would naturally shy away from him and so would opponents as a terrible risk/reward possibility. How many tv fights he gets after the tourney will be a good question.
The commentators for the Stevens fight made it pretty clear they didn't want to see him on HBO again in the near future.
