Did Dirrell totally outclass Abraham for most of the fight be4 the Illegal shot?

Well when Jack said...

"a points win for Abraham wouldn't have surprised me"

...to me he was illustrating what he felt at the time. Because at the time, he wouldn't have known what the official scores were, and he would have just gone off a personal hunch - one that had Abraham troubling Dirrell towards the latter part of the fight.

So the premise of what he was saying, isn't entirely wrong. Many others agree with him.

But I guess you're better off asking him.

Dirrell was the better boxer, and he will outbox Abraham if they meet again. Abraham can only win against Dirrell if he lands a big punch.

IMO Dirrell made the mistake when he was far ahead on points of trying to fight Abraham and hold his ground too much, instead of trying to avoid trading punches.

 

it means that unless you're a blinded ****** or a troll with an agenda you could easily see abraham was getting his **** handed to him

 

LOL. If this isn't outclassing someone, i don't know what is. AA didn't do **** for the first 7-8 rounds. Dirrell was toying with him. ****en biased AA fans.

 

Can't really add much to what others have said but i will say that there was a bit of out classing going on.

Some people here are putting Dirrel's early lead down to AA's notoriously slow start. This is partly true, but it is also true that AA is not the most technically gifted of fighters, can be a bit predictable punch wise, can be very wild with his shots and whilst he can cut the ring of quite well he is rather slow footed so a quick footed opponent can escape him. Dirrel took advantage of this and he did make AA look slow, cumbersome and limited for two thirds of the fight.

AA was at times looking desperate and frustrated as well which leads me to believe that Dirrel's early lead was not just down to AA's normal slow start but was also in a large part due to AA not able to figure out Dirrel.

 

This fight also makes me believe that if Dirrel ever fought Froch again then he would win quite easily.

I think Dirrel performed so badly against Froch because the occasion got to him as it was his first big fight and the jump up in class from his previous best opponent to Froch was immense. However, he learned well from this performance and was a completely different fighter against a more dangerous opponent in AA.

It's a pity he had to drop out of the SS6. Hopefully he can come again.

Dirrell didnt school or outclass Abraham. That's just how Abraham fights.

 

He so outclassed him that he spent the last 4rds running like a drunk sailor lost on ***** street....
