If it wasn't for the intervention of Steward, Wlad's career would have been over many years ago off the back of several KO losses.

Steward like he did with Lenni, helped protect his chin.

I suppose if Wladimir loses again, folks will need somebody Black to blame, even one in the grave that saved his career from the garbage bin. Just blame Wlad for not letting his hands go or his chin giving out when he needs it the most. I don't see the worry though, Wlad will give a better effort this time and should get a win, imo.

Without Steward Wlad would have never had the success he did have. Young Wlad would have stilled struggled with Fury. Back then he had a very wise stance, which isn't great against a mobile opponent.

He turned his style into one that would consistently win, not entertain.

    black to blame? funny stuff

I happen to think Emanuel was a great trainer for certain guys.but he was all wrong for wladimir.he was to much a philosopher, and that's a bit much for a diplomatic guy like wlad.he needed less talk, not more talk to an already over cautious mind like his.he needed a guy that could bring out the beast him,not a philosopher that had him over thinking his every move. emanuel was a walking, talking contradiction. he loved the knockout but talked more about it than training wlad to do it.:bart

Nothing new here. Blackracist just showing his true colors once again.

This guy defends cerealmonotony, randomly quoited me in the Khan/Alvarez RBR thread with the following "This isn't your country anymore" Just because I thought the guy butchered the national anthem. Complete clown. Get a grip dude.

I disagree with you completely, but race isn't a factor here. Blackclouds is an idiot.

:|All I know is that I am from Detroits Westside on 17th and Buchanan and used to walk to Kronk Gym on McGraw or I would catch the Buchanan bus or the "Crosstown" bus that travel from East to West and train.

I had to fight absolute strangers just because I was from another part of the city to train there from 1999-2001. Kronk was in ****ing shambles and Manny was dumping money into his night club on Gratiot at the time and had long abandoned Kronk.

He trained a lot of fighters but not at that gym. My loyalty is to Kronk even though Manny started it, the captain abandoned ship.

I ranted now you all can continue.:|

Emanuel was a good dude.very smart.some would say to smart,he over ****yzed.alot of fighters and there styles are not all that complex.manny was good for guys that, well lets just say that were not all that bright.wladimir didn't need all that over ****yzing philosophy.thats one of my points.

Two of his biggest success' Wlad and Lennox are fairly smart as far as boxers go. Both have managed to keep and invest most of their earnings, that's saying something lol.

No though if you watch the Brewster I pre fight Steward discusses the left hook and how he was too reliant on the right

He worked on Wlads offense and Wlad fought a great offensive fight vs Brewster, he jabbed he hooked off the jab he was very fluid and aggressive. Then he gassed and collapsed

I know people say Wlad had a weak chin but I dont think so, 2 of his losses were more so him running out of gas in fights he was owning. Brewster did blitz him but he got up every time and wasnt nailed cold. I think its not necessarily his chin but the way he seems to panic when pressured.

I think Manny guided him through a difficult time as a fighter. Do I think other trainers could have done this, sure. But I dont know if they would have gotten the same out of Wlad. Wlad with his height reach athleticism and power along with having a great jab, right hand and left hook, some of the best in heavyweight history he was always going to be a champion, just a matter of how long

Beast mode Wlad had two losses by knockout. Steward made Wlad into an ATG heavyweight
