Timmy, Paulie, Derrick James, and a few other people have said that Mikey will never be the same again...

    What do you think?

I doubt it, he was never hurt or stunned badly and he seemed fine after the fight both physically and mentally.

    Unequivocally, yes.

snatched his body, took his 0, and stole his confidence.

It's a different fighter from here on out

Yes, I keep envisioning Mikey running like a rabbit.
I respect Mikey but he forgot his eggs on fight night. All the pre fight talk for nothing.

How can he take his prime when Mikey is no longer in his prime? Prime is 24-29.

Just because guys are able to fight longer does not mean they are still in their prime when they are 30+. The only guys that can get away with this are the HWs.

Mikey Garcia may not be the same anymore after that, but not his prime.

Dude, prime isn't necessarily age-based. It's how your career has gone. You have guys like Floyd who cherrypick and duck and go on vacations and have well-preserved bodies. Sergio Martinez's prime was in the later years.

In defence of Duran getting knocked out at 154: it was prime Thomas Hearns who ironed him out, with a right hand shot which would've turned out the lights of most Middleweights.

I agree: you can't apply the broad brushstrokes of "physical and athletic prime is 24 to 29 years of age" when you have anomalies like Bernard Hopkins who had his signature win against Tito Trinidad at 36 years old, and who was excelling at an elite level into his late 30's and early 40's.
