He must have had rocket connected by string to his shorts cause his ass went flying down to the canvas quite fast, at first I thought he broke his leg.
He got caught flush on the chin , and maybe he didn't want to get up and take a beating from Iron Mike.
I don't want to believe that fighters "take a dive" anymore. But as far as Ettienne is concerned, I honestly don't know. I voted not sure, but what you say must be the truth on this one.
To those answering yes - Did you see Etienne's previous fights at all? Like Cley Bey for example? He didn't have much of a chin to start, Mike pivoted and got into excellent position to land that right hand - Come to think of it - It was the last time I saw Mike throw perfect right hand. That was no dive.
Clifford Etienne didn't take a dive...but when he got laid out, I know he had no problems simply saying "**** it I got paid".
It looks like Etienne didn't want to get up after taking the punch, and he probbaly would've gotten stopped that round had he got up anyways.
It may seem shady, but that's because he took his mouthpiece out. Look at the flush shot, and the leg buckle. Both are the real deal.
I'm gonna say yes just because Tyson looked so washed up before and after that fight, yet he managed to blast a decent fringe contender in 40 seconds, I'm pretty confident Etienne took a dive.
