I cant think of one situation, where Evander Holyfield was ever perceived to be ducking an opponent....

He fought almost everybody at HW:
Foreman, Bowe, Lewis, Tyson, Byrd, Ruiz, even Toney.

He definitely is scared of Wlad Klitchko now :admin

I can't think of a single fighter he ducked. He fought everyone there was to fight. The only time he ever even looked like ducking anyone was Lewis who he could have fought a year earlier than he did. But he was simply holding out for more money, which he got. Holyfield is a true warrior he'd fight anyone even now.

Evander didn't duck Roy Jones. He & Roy both wanted the fight & just couldn't agree on the payout. This may come as somewhat of a shock but just because a fight doesn't work out doens't mean that anyone was ducked or anyone is ducking.

So the fight didn't work out., So effing what?

    Holyfield didn't duck anyone.

I think there is a difference between a disagreement in monetary terms and ducking....that from a guy who can't stand Holyfield. But i won't agree he ducked Jones. Clearly he fought way bigger punchers.

It is called negotiation mate - not ducking. He expected Don King to offer more. The real deal - don't duck.

That the true (whether it's realistic or not) that Holy believes in him self 100% - he wouldn't duck a unification fight with wlad if he gets the change. Accept it ........... The man is a warrior - deep insight.

Let's be clear; there's no-one who fought everyone. LaMotta didn't fight Burley.

But Hollyfield is an example of a fighter in the modern era who fought pretty much everyone he was supposed to when he was supposed to. A warrior.

    Quiet right.

My LaMotta example was more about Jake though, an example of a fighter who took on most guys of his era (including members of the black murderers row).

Archie Moore is another candidate, though it would have been nice if he'd got Sugar.

it would have been a speed problem, not power punching.
