What i just wrote is honest truth... I have been dropping hints for an entire year :deal which i thought you would have cottoned onto by now since you are the law enforcer on all things Mundine :yep

I think his wisest move now is for him to hang 'em up Teke, and I mean that from a 'what's best for him' scenario.

Enjoy his money. Enjoy his health. Walk away.

Personally I don't care what the 'reasons' are for his demise. I'll readilly admit I'm glad the circus is about to close though.

I just don't see choc giving it away mate.....quite an easy fight for him at 154 for the interim against Trout or the regular title against R. Alvarez ....and maybe fighting geale in 6 months if he's got the 160 IBF strap.

IMO Mundine will have another 10 fights....he could end up going down another few times as well but it doesnt bother him....he got that from his dad.

You will see Mundine get straight back on the horse and Im guessing he will end up something like 48 - 6 and call it a day sometime in 2013.

You may well be right Ash.

But personally, I think he'll give retirement some serious consideration now, and it could be a 50/50 call.

The risk vs reward ratio in the last few years of his career has been very lopsided towards low risk, as we know. So it's making less and less sense to now belatedly step up, when the reality is he could be well past his best.

Not sure if he really cares about leaving a legacy, and good health and huge wealth are surely reason enough to move on with his life - that's why the likes of Johnny Lewis and others in the media are saying IT'S TIME.

(the smart money would be on Geale by the bucket load in a rematch)

Choc lives in his own world where he is king and he makes the rules........the more people that come out and say retire will push him further to continue and prove them wrong.

The interesting thing will be who is wood going to fight next?

Choc for $600,000 or Hamden for $20,000?

I see Bika calling out Wood.....IMO that would be bad for Wood...Garth needs to be careful who he fights next as a loss will hurt his great status and make the great win look like a fluke

IMO Garth would be hard to match

Whatever the case, Mandy does not deserve a rematch with Geale, especially with Geale's IBF belt on the line.

Careful CHB, the nuthuggers may have returned.... that doesn't mean they grown any brains or balls.

It was reported that Team Mundine tried to get out of the fight. The fight was all wrong-especially after being at 154 for last 2 fights. Nothing to gain, everything to lose like Barry Michael said. It was Garths GF and another run in the park for Choc. Choc has probably been left on the pot for too long. He beat Echols, Green, Soliman and Geale but really i think his potential has been wasted. He could have been a lot bigger name than he is.

being beaten by Garth Woods may be a sign.

    Agreed.
But, Geale deserves the rematch with Mandy, and once he gets the strap off Sylvester, Mandy will be begging for the rematch, and Geale can stand back and call the shots.

Geale will have 2 lots of bargaining -
    1 - The strap.
2 - The fact that Mandy got wooped by Woods.
    :deal

Geale, assuming he beats Sylvester, would be far better off defending his IBF strap against well credentialled fighters. Top 10 anyway. Mandy is not. Nor is he of any significance as a M/W. I doubt Mandy would have the guts to face Geale again anyway. That being said, seeing Mundine KO'd again would be a joy...... yet he deserves not a cent from Geales hard work.

I'd like to think Team Grange have a far superior view on credibility, than that of Team mandy.

...and exactly why that morally bankrupt Nasser was able to screw them over so easily last time around regarding Geale v Mundine II.
