Easily. Jones refused to fight his biggest threat and rival.

Achieve more? On paper perhaps, but RJJ was far more daunting and entertaining than PBF could ever be. Roy went in there and mixed it up. He went all the way up to heavyweight. Roy's cajones are much bigger than Floyd's are. I would rather watch a RJJ fight any day over Money.

    must be a joke.

floyd had a chance in 2009-10, with no blood draining bull****. blew it and ran. a juiced up floyd ran in the fight for 12 rds 6 yrs later, against a midget with blood drained non stop who might even be injured.

    No.

Roy was the first fighter in a century to win titles at MW all the way up to HW.

He's also the ONLY fighter to ever start his career at JMW, and win a title at HW.

Once Floyd starts getting KTFO left and right by everyone and their sister then you can compare them. Which might happen since he doesn't have the respect he craves since he "plays the villain" and basically takes "easy fights". No one will remember him in a couple of years or at least not in any good way .. just as someone who avoided dangerous fighters in their prime and who lost to Castillo...so him coming back in search of the respect/glory is a possibility and then once he gets some KTFO's you can measure them up better.

Nope you're wrong. He'll be know as the best fighter of his era and an ATG. Manny will be an after thought. All that sh!t he talked and put on a performance like that. Must have really thought "god" was going to do it for him because he looked like he didnt even have a plan A from the opening bell. Screw him and all his fans. Eat your crow, stop your whining and give the man his credit.

    Nope.

Roy was a career MW who went to HW and won a belt. Nobody did that in 106 years.

Oh, and if you were old enough to remember the Toney fight (they were THE BEST of that time), Roy CLOWED Toney like no other. And Toney was THE MAN when roy was hot on his heels.

Don't forget, Toney is a defensive genius as well. And Roy made him look like a fool.

THAT is how you take out your nearest rival.

Good question. I would say with this win yes.
