I read an article that claimed he avoided many great fighters in Casamayor, Freitas, Johnston at 130, Tzsyu at 140, a prime Mosley, Margarito, Cotto at 147, and even Winky Wright. Can anyone dispute this?

    For ****'s Sakes.

Why are 2009 posters making troll threads? Mayweather has bad hands, that's why he doesn't fight often. He never fought in 2008 because he wanted to spend time with his family.

He fought someone many people wanted him to fight against in 09--- Juan Manuel Marquez. End of story.

He claims to have not wanted to fight Margarito cuz Margarito is a ****ing cheater and should have been banned from the sport for loading the **** out of his gloves. What a scumbag.

Tzsyu LOST to Hatton and Floyd BEAT the **** out of Hatton. Yes you can make the argument that Floyd fought Hatton @ 147 instead of 140, but let's not forget Floyd is a much more devastating and dangerous fighter in the lower weight classes.

FFS Floyd in lower weight classes had a 70% knockout rate, he now has 17% (discounting the Ortiz loss)

You can't expect Floyd to FIGHT everyone who claims to be god tier (in their primes). Floyd takes it one fight at a time, even though he does retire and come back many months later.

Winky Wright - why would he have ever fought Winky? Thats not avoiding, thats simply not fighting someone you have no buisness fighting.

Cotto - Its common knowledge (at least it would seem to be) that Cotto and Arum werent trying for that fight, if anything its more like they were both content to not fight eachother, so the blame is shaired by both.

Margarito - Main gripe. This was an obvious (imo) ducking of a fighter.

Mosley - when was 'prime' mosley? Around the time he was fighting Oscar and Forrest right? Mayweather was fighting at 130 at the time, Mosley was chasing oscar up at 147.
A young Mayweather was expected to go after shane as shane is going after hoya and follow him up the weights? Hardly.

As for not fighting him earlier then he did at least, I think most people who were following at the time can remember Mosley being realistically considered Mayweathers next opponent, (I think it was somewhere around the time after the collazo fight? Maybe the vargas fight) and Mosley started going on about how he was going on vacation (yes... mosley) and that his tooth was bothering him.

Zoo - In the span of four years (the last four of his career) Kostya fought a total of 4 times. He was riddled with layoffs due to injuries and whatnot, by the time Mayweather had gotten to his weightclass, he wound up losing and retiring. They probably would have fought had Kostya beaten Hatton.

    its old news!!!!

floyd has the most padded CV ive ever seen!

42-0 against 1 maybe 2 legit contenders - and he calls himself the greatest?

in the golden era of 130 lbs who did floyd fight?

manny on the other hand faced morales x 3 marquez x 2 barrera x 2.... he actually went looking for the hardest fights to prove himself as the true P4P champion

floyds 'zero' has now become more important than his legacy, he WILL be known as a great fighter who was too scared to face the best

57 have tried, 3 have succeeded in giving me a vicious pounding. Avoided JMM @ JMM's weight at all cost, Avoided Money May at all costs, Sucked on Arum's dick one too many times.
