Did Floyd avoid the best?

  1. Mayweather beats Casamayor, Freitas, Johnston, Tzsyu, Mosley and 147lbs Cotto so what does it matter? Winky would have been a tough fight, same as a 147lbs Margarito would be tough although hes probably beats Margarito even under a **** ton of pressure.

u kidding? what u mean floyd would beat all those guys? if Wlad never fought Sanders and Brewster, pple also would have said "Wlad beats them easily". its about the fights that actually do happen not some ***** ass woulda-coulda-shoulda bull****.
thats the difference between being a pretender and a real hall of famer

I totally agree with this comment :good

I'm just a fan of boxing and all competitors. I will praise all fighters and critique all fighters.

I like Mayweather's work ethic, his skill, and athletic prowess in the ring. I dislike his arrogance and still being called the best while missing out on great opportunities.

I can respect Mayweather as a person for being honest and protecting his health and making the most financially lucrative choices.

However as a boxer and his legacy as an ATG is lacking. I think he missing several names from 130-147 as mentioned above. I do think he missed on great opportunities some through promotional and network divisions and some through his own choosing.

However May being ranked higher does not automatically make him better and he probably would have suffered some bumps on the way. Him not participating in those fights makes it hard to judge him as the best as other great fighters in the past did not miss out on as many opportunities as he has.

I watch boxing to see the best fight the best. If he doesn't fight the best, how can I really say he is the best? It's like drinking coke and never trying pepsi.

He definitely did not duck Shane. Shane ducked Floyd by stepping aside for Oscar to fight him first.

The only one you could say for sure is MargCheater but he made a lot more fighting Oscar instead.

i think Floyd did stutter a bit when MargCheater confronted him begging for a fight.

Margcheato was intimidating to everyone circa 2008 but lets face it, he would have been shut out by Pretty Boy then, probably even a late TKO.
