i feel like a dick for saying this but one of my all time faves- diego corrales (r.i.p.) cried out of frustration against floyd.
I don't think he was crying. He just got a very bad beat down. Plus with all the sweat and I'm sure there was water being poured on his head at the time.
yea but floyd beating gatti meant nothing gatti was probly the most overated fighter in a while he only looked good against people who were shitty
He was not overrated,he was fighting guys on his level and beating them, when he goes a level up he would lose
yea but he was overrated maybe not but the boxing fans who no their **** but by hbo he was highly overated he was a fictional character made up by hbo
The buildup to that fight was ridiculous. You have McGirt saying "Floyd has never tasten someone with the power of Gatti. And when he does its lights out!" and the hbo countdown making it sound like it was a 50/50 fight making people believe Gatti actually has a chance. I thought to myself "well maybe McGirt has a good gameplan for Gatti" as he kept talking about his "awesome gameplan". Keep in mind this was before McGirt jinxed 20 fighters. Then Gatti comes in with one of the worst gameplans in boxing history and tries to outbox Floyd throwing a flicker jab. I just couldn't believe that ****. His only hope was to brawl and instead he comes out dancing like he's cassius clay.
Thats too funny. That fight HAD to be one of the easiest ones to pick in recent memory. Gatti looked good in round 1... Then the following rounds: :!:
