    So you admit you were wrong and so was your boy Danny Rand thank you for being a man about it, DLH was not I repeat NOT almost knocked out by Floyd the video proves it, and he did NOT fall out of viewing range as you said he did. so why do you make claims when you cant even support them?

    BTW, what the **** is wrong with the Audio its like way off:huh

    The audio sucked ... but he did almost fall out of viewing range ... he threw another flurry and then for the rest of that round (about 1:09 left in the round) he stopped throwing punches and took 15 straight right hands.

    The majority of those right hands that followed where blocked by DLHs gloves now what I do remember is between round 2 and 9 both Stewart and Merchant where talking about what a great Job DLH was doing in deflecting those shots with his gloves, you wanna find a HBO broadcast to prove me wrong here?

    Naw ... its all good ... I remember Emmanuel Steward going back and fourth and I think one of those times Larry Merchant was saying that nothing was landing and Emmanuel Steward saying that he sees that punching getting through as the fight goes on.

    But was on wrong that he stopped punching? ... and some of those right hands got through ...

    Thank you sir!!! seriously, as long as you tell the truth and not stories we are all good, Oscar was stunned by that shot but wasnt almost knocked out.
    Yes Floyd threw alot of right hands to follow maybe 15 I didnt count but a good majority of those were blocked so its not what you throw its what you land that counts.
    DLH had this fight in the bag but faded in the 9th I wouldnt say faded either to me it looked like he was bored and feel asleep at the wheel, I really think DLH assumed Floyd would fight his fight, and when he got the type of fight he got, I mean in reality it was pretty much world class sparring.

    All of the punches DLH threw weren't landing as well and Floyd forced Oscar to use his right hand which was having no effect on Floyd even when he landed flush ... to make things worse it was Floyd's first and only fight at 154 w/ no tune ups.

    Oscar was definitely buzzed....but recovered well. He wasn't close to being KO'd by any means. He was just eating some rights and had to adjust in the 5th. THat was a great round for Floyd, but in terms of almost being KO'd....Hell no. Maybe if DLH wasn't able to adjust and Floyd continued to land the right, but DLH is also a boxer who is able to adapt which he did. And which is why the fight was so damn close.

    You're right....Most of the rights Floyd threw were caught and block but that one right did buckel his knees a bit, but DLH quickly recovered. I don't think he was hurt, but more surprised. Either way it was a sharp shot right on the button....it just wasn't enough and DLH quickly adapted to prevent the right from landing.

    And to make things even worse De La Hoya was past his better days fighting the best P4P fighter in the world, and he did well the fight was very close.
    Look Floyd wanted this fight and he got it, so there is no excuse for this 1st fight at 154 he has been calling out De La Hoya the day he turned pro.
    either way, the fight was Close, some will argue it was 8-4 for Floyd but there were alot of close rounds, and in close rounds the way I see it if the Champion is comming forward he will get the nod in those rounds.

    I think what people remember about the fight the most is this one shot in the 5th round and how De La Hoya reacted to it at that moment, they tend to forget the pace of the fight leading up to that moment and following that moment.
    DLH was also able to blast Floyd with some good shots, but do you hear us saying he almost knocked Floyd out?

    excuses for what. What excuses am I making? You are going to tell me Floyds eye and nose were caused by elbows and forearms. thats you making excuses my friend. Oscar was warned for usung the forearm. He wasn't banging Floyd with it, he was holding his head up with it, not banging his nose up his it. Come on

    Fights are constantly made pairing up Prime fighters vs past Prime fighters, theres nothing new there, it works in giving the past prime fighter a last shot and the prime fighter a KO to hype the general public. It was a pay day for Floyd, an easy win that should of resulted in a KO.

    You know what the significance of being PRIME has to do with it. If this was irrelevent there wouldn't be constant debates over a fighter like Pac building a resume against Past Prime Mexican champs, would there.
