I would agree but unfortunately he still has a couple of fighters worth beating at 147 and 154. So....................what? Is he suppose to start searching for competition at weights 2 divisions or higher just because you wanna see him lose?

If Marinez volunteers to come down then that is on him and we will have to wait and see after his business with Chavez is done. But ducking? GTFOH!

They're haters. And for some reason that actually believe that a hands-down face-up slow-plodding club fighter actually had a chance to beat someone of Floyd's ability.

Tszyu and obviously quite a few welterweights, when he "retired" to avoid them in 2006.

You realize JMM could have done the same thing, face guys he's capable of beating at 135. At this point in Floyd's career, either retire of put your foot on the gas again. There's no point in facing anyone like Ortiz. It did absolutely NOTHING for him. Same would be the case for Berto if he was next. Or Khan for that matter. I'll admit if he fought Tim Bradley, that would be somewhat intersting at least. So, as it stands, there's only really Pac and Martinez that fits the 'super fight' mantra he's had. Assuming Martinez gets passed Chavez Jr that is. And besides, Floyd is a two time belt winner at 154. That's now just one division below Martinez.

Your forgetting Canelo, who might be green, but he's got skill for such a youngster, and he has a fanbase.

And I hope you realize that Marquez more than likely would have never came up if Pacquiao wasn't in the weight class. Plus a huge payday will make any fighter do anything. When you're the top money maker you just sit back and chill and wait for the challengers to come to you. It may not be a good thing but that's the world we live in. Especially when your at the tail end of your boxing career.

Most Boxers in their career, have cherry picked or avoided fighters. Only Mayweather fans voted ''He didn't avoid anyone''.

Because he was @ 130.....why would he jump from that weight to 147? That would be ridiculous!

He fought Baldomir who was 147 champ and got 8mil instead of Margarito. That was a no brainer.

I remember Mayweather calling Mosley while he was 135 champ, but Mosley decided to go fight DLH @ 147. After Mayweather beat Cotto's sparring partner Henry Bruseles (sp) Cotto team said Cotto needed more fights before fighting Mayweather @ 140. Tszyu was a showtime fight while Mayweather was an HBO fighter. That was the conflict why that fight never happen. Can't speak on the others, not sure. Actually fought Baldomir who was 147 champ instead of Margarito.
