Only, when you're involved, a little slight becomes a three page thread. You weren't telling anyone anything they didn't already know when you said, "I think Mayweather is a more complete fighter". It's the principle. A guy like Mayweather who can't even clean out a half decent division comparing himself to the greatest Heavyweight that ever put on some gloves. He needs to shut his big mouth. Ali talked something similar in his day, but he was going out there and beating the best fighters available. It's different.

Sure, but coming from middleweight to defeat a heavyweight the caliber of Ruiz is an idea that's reflexively scoffed at in this day and age. Recently, there was yet another thread asking when we'd again see a heavyweight title claimant under 200 pounds, with many respondents autonomically repeating the tired refrain that we wouldn't see it again anytime soon. (RJJ, Toney and the Spinks brothers have scuttled that notion at regular intervals over the last 30 years, so it baffles me why people who should know better continue to ignore this fact of reality.)

Nothing to do with Leonard, chief. We can have a wager if you like. What's the bet that if I created a thread entitled, 'name your top 5 favorite fighters of all time', over 90% of posters here have either Whitaker, Duran, or both in their lists? It's just the way it goes. Duran and Whitaker aren't ever going to be subjected to the type of crap other fighters are often subjected to on here. Sometimes justified, often times not.
