The only reason Pacquiao was ever #1 is that Mayweather retired.

He did retire so what else do people have to do, reserve his spot? Up untill that point Pac and Money's resume were close with May having a decent edge. Since then Pac has accomplished a great deal to take and keep his #1 spot.

Floyd was re-instated at #2 when he came back from retirement. Floyd has to work it out to reclaim the #1. Floyd so far had not done enough.

Or better yet, Floyd should fight the #1 so that there will be no question left on who's really the #1 guy. :D

The "#1" guy won't fight him. He fought Clottey instead.

I don't think so. The #1 guy has no history of ducking from fights. In fact he's fighting bigger boxers as of late but this is irrelevant to the thread topic. The issue here if the #2 guy did really overtaken the #1 guy.

there's your answer.. you have it right there.. there're a lot of different p4p lists and they all have different opinions.. there's no one list that's more relevant than the other they are all opinions so why keep arguing it.. there's no actual trophy for p4p list is all mythical so we can argue this for years and never come to an agreement

    :hat

Did Floyd really overtake Pacquiao in the P4P list?

I'm guessing your answer is "NO". ;)

No need to discuss this ducking thing in this thread. The question here is "Did Floyd really overtake Pacquiao in the P4P list?"

floyd absolutely did not take over manny. im really still surprised by how this mosley victory has been taken, given how he looked. pacs victory over oscar wasnt taken for much after we could see that oscar was shot, and deservedly so, and yet mosley tired in the first third of the fight.

Anyway, im sure the mosley victory will be looked at without too much substance as history passes, and as has been mentioned the marquez fight is pretty much void. that said, they are still good wins, and he won them in great style, but over devastating KO/TKO victories of Hatton, Cotto and Oscar? cmon. In the meantime, floyd has to beat the man to be the man (and we aint talking old man mosley]

pac is still number 1 and floyd is a very close number 2 simply because pac destroyed fighters who supposedly would beat him or give him troubles while floyd decisioned fighters he was supposed to beat.
