Margo is a cheat no doubt. However, you cant knock Margo out with cement if he lent it some to you. The guy has a cast iron chin, and Floyd would have to let his hands go frequently to keep him off. That plus how brittle Floyds hands are was maybe the reason to stay away from Margo at the time.

It's damned if you do damned if you don't, May knew he had to get him early, and his camp was smart enough to recognize Cotto was not ready, if that's a duck, then it was a smart duck. Didn't May retire when Cotto thought he was ready?

Not even close, and OSDT goes for everybody Floyd fights. Funny that not one of them have complained that it weakened their arm or made their head feel dizzy. That must only apply to Cluckiaou. :yep

Everyone in thread doesn't have a clue. Cotto was Top Rank and now that he's a free agent he's fighting Floyd. That's the only reason they didn't fight previously.

Cotto is no longer prime, but he is still very good, he has more left than Shane did when floyd fought him.

Indeed "look when he fought them"...coming off some of their biggest and most dominant wins, I'm sure that's what you meant though.

  11. according to most on this forum Floyd already beat Cotto and Pac. Why are they fighting again on May 5th ?

Yeah, Floyd retired so he wouldn't have to face Cotto.

Cotto himself admitted that he never pursued a fight with Mayweather or spoke with Bob Arum about it at all. He tried to negotiate a Pacquiao rematch before leaving TR, but Pacquiao was too much of a ***** to move up even the three measly pounds that he gave to Margocheato. A few days later he had a fight with Floyd at 154. :think:think:think

Fight should have happened in 2006... Floyd jr. Got a record of fighting the best like Baldomir, Gatti, DelaHoya , and Marquez who was 142 lbs. When Floyd jr. Beat Corrales he only fought the best like N'dou, Brusseles and Mitchell future hall of famers. Floyd jr got a record that Marciano would be proud of.
