Or was his back against the wall, and had no choice since there was no other worthy opponent to up against due to the Pac fight falling apart?

    Vote....

No. I think he really did want the Pac fight though. Shane is a tougher fight for him imo.

He wanted Pacquiao more than Mosley, but I don't think he would sign a contract to fight Shane if he was scared of him.

no, floyd doesn't want to fight shane. look at a few of his interviews, where he has basically said as much.

floyd wants to fight JCC jr or someone like that.

What im asking is.....Is Floyd fighting Shane because he actually wanted this fight, or is he fighting him because the fight practically fell on his lap, and there was no other legitimate opponents with the exception of Pac for Floyd to take on, resulting in pressure for Floyd to take this fight.

Its an honest question. Why are u guys so touchy? :conf

of course not he was doing everything to avoid shane. He has no choice or he looks like a blatant ducker and a coward. Thats why i know he wont win he is not confident against shane at all. U have to realize the only reason people are going to give him credit if he fights shane is because theyre accustom to watching him duck real challenges. Thats so pathetic they're the best in the division theyre suppose to fight each other. remember Leonard, hagler, hearns and duran they were the best so they did what they were suppose to do floyd, they fought each other

It's obvious that floyd wanted to fight manny first, that would have been a much bigger fight. since that fight fell thru, he went with the next best available opponent. if he REALLY didnt want to fight shane then he could have fought cintron or someone else. :patsch

What excuses? Well first and foremost, the fight isnt even signed yet, so lets not jump the gun. Secondly, Floyd has said during several interviews how Shane isnt a worthy opponent since he has 5 losses and is a steroids user.

Once again for the mentally challenged........Is this a fight that Floyd wanted, or did it fall in his lap, and now he has no choice but to take it in order to save face?
