I don't think Floyd Mayweather is crazy about the idea of fighting Shane Mosley, but he probably will...if he doesn't, he is giving massive amounts of ammo to his critics. I sure sure as hell wouldn't put him past him not to fight Mosley, but for now, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt...he'll sign the fight.
Realistically, Floyd could have fought another tune-up and then caught Pac after the Clottey fight. Remember, Corrales was more of a "scare" than Mosley. You don't lose heart...unless you lose.
i think floyd was backed into a corner to take this fight because he realised that if he kept on ducking the real challenges out there, then his legacy would be forever tarnished. i think for once, floyd has decided to put his legacy before the easy option and before making money. floyd knows that this could be his toughest fight but he also knows that the clock is running down on shanes career and that by beating a past it shane, then he can answer all those people who accuse him of ducking a proper welterweight.
I never said "forced". All i said was that theres a good chance that he's fighting him due to pressure to take on a credible/risky opponent. Campbell, Matthew Hatton, Malignaggi werent gonna cut it.
The first option is fakking hilarious I almost peed in my pants. Floyd just don't want to be tagged as the Greatest Ducker and he's in a corner now and nowhere to go, only way is to sign this fakking fight.
he wanted to fight pacquiao more then shane.. But he“ll fight and beat them both probably... Or pacquiao fights Top Rank fighters the rest of his career to duck the tests
"Shane Mosley who has 5 losses" "Shane Mosley is not a PPV attraction" "if Shane mosley is cheating and Margarito is cheating, we don't really know how many championships they won" "Shane Mosley wants a big pay day before he retires"
All roads lead to PBF. He can fight who ever he chooses. If he waited until after Pac fights to decide it wouldnt be a bad business move. $40 mill payday is on the line when he fights either guy. IMO PBF is not scared of anyone, he only wants to make as much $ as he can. I dont see anything wrong with that.:rasta
Do you really think Berto is just going to cancel the fight instead of postponing it if he's not being compensated? They're already talking about Berto fighting in April. I have no doubt that he was not mentally ready to fight this Saturday. However, you can rest assured that he was convinced via a handsome payout to pull out of the fight all together instead of postponing the fight as he had a contractual right to do so.
You said he had no other choice. That's very similar to being forced. If that's the case, then you should be almost 100% certain that the fight is going down.
I can agree with. Only, I guess you agree with me then that he is not as confident in beating Shane as his fans are?
