Floyd had to take a vialbe fight that was worth his status in the sport....Matt Hatton, Paulie, Nate...that wasn't gonna cut it. Floyd was catching a lot of flak for those potential opponents b/c they were NOT REAL WW. Something Floyd for years has been accused of avoiding....so when Shane became available it was a way to help him silence his critics.

Manny has the same kind of critisim that Floyd has...but for me it's clear that Manny SEEKS challenges where Floyd seeks money and low risk oppoenents. Top 3 in the sport? That is not using common sense....Floyd should be going after the TOP 3 in his division or in higher divisions. That would be like applauding Wald for fighting Paul Williams b/c he's a P4P fighter, then Nard and Abraham b/c they are top guys.

Floyd don't gotta do **** for anyone but himself. But to gain the respect he saying he deserves he has to fight challenging opponetns. Wit Shane it's a step in the right direction....a terrific fight to help garner him the respect he wants.

You're wrong. It's pretty much standard for all of these contracts to have a postonement clause. Usually, it's between 60-90 days.

 

No one gives a **** about Formen or his paper belt. Paulie brought absolutely nothing to the table. Matthew Hatton is full of ****. No one contacted him about fighting Floyd. That fight makes zero sense.

It is a paper belt....but it would still be a good win to support and build his legacy. So there were some rewards to that fight if it took place but I agree it wouln't have been the most signifigant fight that could have been made. They did contact Matt Hatton and it was documented.
