Never put much thought into it but it is kind of like there is some unwritten rule that PPV fights in the US have to cost at least $50 (and usually $60 now for HD).

over priced ppv has damaged the sport. another thing which is over looked is where the fights are held now. look back at at former title fights from the old days. championship bouts were held all over the country and the world. they reached people in places where the public would not other wise pay attention to. marciano defended his title in san francisco once for an example. ali defended his title in various cities. now, almost all big fights are in vegas, the garden and some times the forum.

    Agreed.

I'd like to see a WORLD CHAMP defend somewhere other than the states, if I'm being honest.

Absolutely $100 dollars to watch arguably one of the most boring fighters of his generation has damaged boxing. Avoiding fights, protecting the zero, sky high prices and paydays.

PPV was $100 dollars on Dish Net! I did not buy the illegitimate fight it was a hoax! WWE! Does not count on Void's record! PPV is destroying boxing, look at the success of ESPN now!
