Did Frank Warren simply use Maccarinelli as fish bait to get David Haye ?

Frank Warren openly said how confident he was Enzo would beat Haye and said he would quit boxing if Enzo lost !!!!

He is supposed to be good personal friends with Enzo too.

But business is business - is it possible - Warren fed Enzo to Haye to be eaten alive - to whet his appetite for Sports Network promotions ?

Was Frank Warren really confident in Enzo beating Haye easily ?

The bookies odds - made Haye - 8/15 on Favorite - so they expected a Haye victory.

Some people tipped Enzo could maybe drag it into the later rounds and win - but none more confidently than Warren who said he had never been more certain of a victory.

But was all that just a bluff - to goad Haye in ?

Did Warren dangle a carrot - Enzo - in front of Haye to be gobbled up - so Warren could get Haye on a sports network show and then possibly get his cluttchs into Haye with future fights and make millions out of him if he became a World Heavyweight Star.

After all - Warren paid Haye a Whopping £800,000 to come and eat Enzo alive.

Because as much hype as the fight received.

On the night - the mood changed - from what was orginally promoted as a competitive fight - somehow the feeling was - Haye was going to eat Enzo alive.

Even - Enzo himself - his confidence gave away to fear - when in the passenger seat of Enzo Calzaghes W Reg Vauxhall People carrier they pulled up outside the O2 arena on fight night.

So what do you reckon ?

Did Frank Warren putting on that fight - was just using Enzo as fish bait to reel Haye into his control ?

Errr considering Warren had tried making the fight numerous times but with options and Haye told him to **** off, so Warren eventually offered the fight with no options leads me to believe Warren got suckered into thinking Haye was done at 200lbs and basically got done like a kipper. :good

Flint, can you stop with all these Enzo threads, please? You have good insights into boxing other than this topic. Can we read some of them instead, please?

No Frank genuinely believed he had a man good enough to beat Haye a weight drained one and go on to make a shitload of defences and pack out arena's in UK. Within 2 rounds that dream was smashed to pieces.

NO. I think he saw that maccrinelli would come undone sooner or later and he decided to cash him in with a mega fight
