    You've answered it well, I think I was more meaning did he get the credit he was due at the time , given all the hype around Ali and some even questioning the result, which was crazy. Given what happened subsequently it must've felt to Joe that he'd won what was literally the biggest fight of all time and yet in no time at all he was overshadowed by both Foreman and Ali .

    I could do so no better than the thousands, if not tens of thousands, of documentaries, books, films, series, journalists, authors, analysts, commentators & fans could.

    good point. I wonder how Marciano would have done and where he would have fought? Would he have bulked up?
