No, I think he probably just was panicking and wanted out of the fight and cut himself. He probably had a torrid spar with Opetaia and felt he was ****ed and would be schooled by a "middleweight".

I think it's quite likely that it happened this way, it adds up well in any case.

It's not impossible. There's no way to prove it didn't happen in sparring.

    He didn’t orchestrate the cut.

But he’s still a fat, fake gypsy. I hope Usyk destroys him.

except that the video he uploaded of when it "happened", it definitely did not happen then otherwise their would of been blood on his white gloves after he wiped at his forehead.

Fury hurt his own momentum with the cut. He has discipline problems and was looking in very good shape. It's a mental struggle for him to keep up the routine so it'll be lucky for him if he can maintain it enough come fight time. Usyk is the more focused of the two generally speaking so it will impact him less.

In the end if Fury comes in basically the same shape it won't matter and it looks like he probably will. But there's always a chance Fury falls of the wagon any week of the year and the longer things are drawn out the worse it is for him.

In fact this is something people like Hearn are surely aware of and it would not surprise me if they were the ones who actually played some reschedule games with him if they make a fight.

I don't understand the controversy about the quality of the cut video, didn't Fury appear in front of cameras with the stitches in his head? How could he have faked that?

    Probably because it’s 2024 and not 1999

I don't understand what you're talking about, what does that have to do with people videoing him and him appearing on podcasts and things like that?

Fury himself gave Haye similar grief over the latter’s own cut.

Fury’s a wombat, no doubt, but he isn’t a protected species when it comes to “in kind”allegations that he himself has been more than happy to put out.

Some of his fans have very short memories and they’re notably hypersensitive re criticisms of Fury - particularly so when you weigh those criticisms against the barbs that Fury has loosely thrown out toward multiple, prospective opponents.

Also no doubt that the postponement would’ve been far more disruptive to Usyk than Fury.

Fury was not at all crestfallen due to the cut and putting back of the fight. Hmmm.

    Good pointe all of them.

Fury was all giddy in the video he released after the cut. It was ****ing bizarre in the context. He was not in any way looking like a fighter who was heading into the biggest fight of his career with great confidence only to suffer the setback of a cut. He was acting like someone having beaten an indictment.

It could be that he just lucked out with the cut without any foul play, but everything coming out from the Fury camp and from Fury himself screamed not wanting that fight in February, and probably not ever. And if the rumours are correct (as Johnny Nelson claims they are according to his sources) and Opetaia did work him over in sparring just a few weeks before fight time, then it's easy to understand why.

Because the sparring video looked like it was recorded for Betamax.

I understand, but wasn't Fury in the media and on shows and was seen by people and interviewed with his stitches in?

Did you read anywhere he say that Fury didn't suffer a cut? This was never the discussion. Is it that hard to get it.
Still no one to this day explained why the quality was worst than on Nokia 3310, and when the supposed cut happen, when Fury swipe his eye with the white gloves there wasn't any blood. Such a cut would definitely start flowing blood pretty good, pretty fast.
Hell very little cuts on that region start gushing.

Also Fury was super happy the next day.
