Here's the reality. He has a team of idiots around him who indulge his lack of discipline and tell him myths about putting on fat and being more powerful. He then uses it as an excuse to be fat. This team of idiots has also clearly confused him, telling him he can be a KO-artist and destroyer etc., and all the while he knows somehow it isn't true because he chose to box Usyk twice. He said he'd box Usyk again and then comes in like this? I don't think it was intentional, I think he didn't train properly and then convinced himself (and his team enabled it) that the weight would help him destroy with his 'Kronk' big dog bs. He needs to be lean and use his speed and endurance and skills. There is absolutely no way being fat helps any of this. And being fat doesn't make you a KO artist.
I have the sneaky suspicion it actually wasn't really a choice, but more of a spin and/or tactic based on circumstance. Fury always has had trouble keeping his weight in check and it gets harder with age. He just got too heavy and then tried to make it work, I think.
Seems so. I see a lot of people saying he fought better but nah he was much better in the 1st despite almost getting stopped. He looked slow and Usyk was dancing around him at spots
Fighting usyk is like fighting 3 or 4 different fighters, he has so much going on, great fighter, great iq, one of the most impressive fighters I've ever seen.
