Did Fury's beard help absorb the punches?

I think boxers should be made to shave before a fight, and shave very clean. Grizzled beards might cause scratches, long beards might stick in guys eyes, and yes,,I think a thick beard might be a bit of a cushion against blows. Creates a level playing field.

Plus Muslims would complain and screw that.
