i was watching a documentary/interview with a british sports reporter. he was talking about this fight and said that he suddenly found himself (along with other reporters) pushing nigel back into the ring. i think his point was patriotism or favouritism hits everyone once in a while. i have NEVER seen this watching the fight. has anyone seen any assistance given to benn?

You got a point there man!

Some people just dont know the rules and I guess even the Ref can get confused in ambiguous situations in the heat of the moment.

A boxing ring is the space in which a boxing match occurs. A modern ring, which is set on a raised platform, is square with a post at each corner to which four parallel rows of ropes are attached with a turnbuckle.

Yeah this is true. The British commentator admitted to pushing Benn back in because he wanted him to do well in the fight.

It was when they met the first time they met after the fight at a Benn organized fundrazier for McClellan in 2007.

It was around the Katsidis vs Earl fight so february 2007.

That ****ing moron Newbon should have never been paid for that performance. Not only did he yap on about pushing him back in when the reality is he did nothing of the sort - also for all the hating we do regarding letterman/ kellerman,, Newbons post fight interview had to go down as the worst ever

people underestimate the damage jackson did even in losing efforts. against mccallum and mcclellan, even though he lost he plastered them with ****ing bombs. i maintain he's the greatest puncher in the last 30 years AT LEAST and even a couple of solid rights from jackson can do serious damage

    1. Benn did beat G-man up
    2. G-man had already taken plenty of punishment during his career, from sparring with heavyweights to going toe-to-toe with Julian Jackson
    3. His chin was granite, never KOed. How many guys could have taken Benn's punches like that for so long? Therefore he took much more punishment than a normal man could/should.

These factors all contributed to G-Man's condition.
