Marcos Geraldo took some serious leather against Hagler and Leonard and was never in serious trouble yet Hearns floored him with nothing, the way he tries to get up looked very suspicious to me.
I remember at the time thinking it looked suspicious, but you can't be sure. Sometimes when cold an inauspicious looking shot can affect you very badly...on the other hand, maybe Marcos' ambition/thirst for battle had been blunted by hard fights, he tasted Hearns' power and just decided to call it a night. Only Geraldo and possibly Hearns know for sure...
Absolutely. He was a horrible actor. I saw him do the same thing with Michael Nunn (I was at that fight and very close to the ring). He threw the Hearns and Nunn fights.
