canelo fight was closer, canelo won more rounds and avoided the knock down. had jacobs avoided the knock down that fight could have been a draw as well.

3 Point margin. Clear as day. Haters getting desperate cos GGs lost bit of dominance mid 30s

    Nah.

Jacobs wasn't as slippery as Canelo, and Golovkin's jab was snapping straight through the middle. His jab was elite that night. Jacobs threw many more shots than Canelo but Golovkin was the one with the good defence and he picked off a lot of the incoming.

Where Jacobs DID have success was slipping some sizzling body shots under GGG's elbows, and his power definitely > Canelo. So there was the IMPRESSION that Golovkin was in danger, whereas in the Canelo fight you never really got the feeling that Canelo could hurt GGG. Jacobs can really swat.

Close, but clear GGG win especially considering the KD.

Watch that fight twice. On the second watch you will see that quite a bit of Jacobs' work is ineffective as GGG slips, parries and ducks through the flurries. The problem with Golovkin is that much of his defensive work is subtle as he doesn't want to lose his stance and balance, it seems to me.

No triple G defeats Jacobs 7-5 and Canelo 8-4 maybe 7-5

Great point. He retains stance and position. His defense is is subtle slips, glove catching and remains out of range where the punches fall short. A lot of work without actually using his legs which is easier to pick up and say what defense.

Watching it live I had Jacobs up by 1 rd. Due to him missing weight, and coming in 180lbs I'm giving GGG the benefit of the doubt.

I watched several rounds of Canelo / GGG on slomo. One doesn't appreciate just how good these guys are defensively. I had scored many punches landing from either of them in normal speed that in slo mo were actually short, off the gloves or slipped. We are priviliged to have watched these calibre fighters in our time :deal:

Jacobs fight was closer and more dangerous. He used his legs and height to get in and out, but he didn't run as much and I feel hit harder than Canelo. It was still 1-2 rounds ahead for GGG plus a point for the knockdown.

Jacobs lost clearly, but Jacobs did well when he stood in the middle of the ring and beat GGG to the punch and countered with combinations and even got GGG's respect a few times. However, as soon as he backed GGG up he would stop and hesitate, which allowed GGG to go back to work.

This video is a perfect example.

Canelo also lost, but did well early with his body punching and handspeed, but didn't pace himself and ended up going negative and fighting off the ropes. Canelo's footwork is also still awful and wasteful. If Canelo was more efficient with movement and sneaked in his power shots with combos he could've won.

GGG won the Jacobs fight clearly. Jacobs lost all of the first 5 rounds clearly, plus GGG had the knockdown. I gave Jacobs the 6th when he switched strategies. Thereafter Jacobs just played touch and run and did a lot of shoeshining.

Dude you are asking the opinion of people on a website that openly hates anyone not of there liking, if you catch my drift. They have the same ideology of a certain dictator from the 1930s and 40s from Germany, if you read me.
They are not having the best year watching guys they like get their asses kicked by the "minorities". So Jacobs won and GGG is ducking the rematch.
