Many are assuming Mora was in GBP's pocket. It may be very well true as why would a ref go that far for a certain fighter whilst putting his career on the line? Sure Promoters are worried about the bottom line and making sure there fighter has every advantage but to go as far as Saturday Night ? Did Abner Mares break the record for most punches to a boxers balls in a fight ? No points deducted and not even the proper time to rest and of course calling the knockdown leading to a 2 point swing in Mares favor. Easily the most disgraceful evening of Televised Boxing in a very long time. Maybe it was meant to happen and just maybe this is a revolt as happening around the world against the corrupt organizations who care only about their bottom line. If a fighter can't win a fight clean and fair he shouldn't be signed as their are plenty of great fighters that can win playing by the rules. Joseph Abeko is one of them. Viva La Revolution
Vic/Mares fight. Which fight was it that ended in a knockout from an extremely low blow, called a knockout! Commentators shrugged it off! Ward's headbutt from across the ring, causing a huge cut, TKO by illegal headbutt, but again, no outrage!
Yes but this fight was undeniable proof as it went on for all 12 rounds. Not just one instance but an entire fight of blatant fouling. This was the worst possible scenario for GBP. Mora might have been instructed to not deduct a point from Mares as he did but nobody expected Mares to land the blatant low blows in such high volume. It was the perfect recipe for exposing a very corrupt affair.
If I was a fighter, I would refuse to face a Mexican or Chicano anywhere in Cali. You have to win by KO otherwise.
Pretty much mathematically impossible as there were 20 + serious low blows. You miss 1, 2 even 3 no problem.
I don't what the fuss is alla bout. Mates was being pushed down on some of these low blows, others weren't that low except for maybe the 11tn round one, and still that want that bad. People are over reacting acting like he did some blatant golota low blow
