    Folks,

I am a 'Hagler' jock-sniffer.......... I have no shame there....... I like Marvin Hagler................. However, regardless of your take / opinion of the outcome of his 1987 title fight loss to SRL, did Hagler screw his fans by simply never fighting again, or did he do the right thing by letting it all go and walking away???

I know rumors circulated that Hagler was looking for SRL to grant him a return bout in 1988 or so.... Well, it never happened........ That is NOT the point or my question being asked here........

Question being: "Should Hagler have fought again against somebody of note?" Yes or No.................

I think it was the right time to go, unless he could've got a rematch with Leonard.

True... But I think Hagler could've beaten "Kalambay or Barkley" in 1988 to capture / regain another lost title belt...............

To what end, his best days were behind him and he knew it. I'm also a big MH fan, my favorite fighter. he said f it, and was one of the few to know when to pack it in. And not make a Ridiculous comeback/continue on like so many others did.

He did the right thing, and his fans I think agree overall. Think you agree with that also

I'm not pissed.......... Hagler is still kool with me...... However, this Italian film career was / is bull****........ His films are crap........ Nobody has ever heard of these flicks he made...... Hagler would've had more success as an Italian porn star............. Porn is big in Italy...... I like porn........... Cheers........

One of the few fighters that actually left with his dignity intact. More power to him.

id like to see a rematch with Leonard. I think Marvin would have won that. As a Hagler fan i always disliked the fact that Leonard did not want to face Hagler earlier and avoided the fight, and we all know that a younger version of Marvin would have won that fight

I think he left at the right time,

Losing a close fight to another ATG, whilst past prime, good time to give it up.

I do not want to see Marvin fight when he has lost it, I want to remember Marvin vs Sibson, Hamsho, Hearns etc... and not being beaten by someone he would have iced in his prime.

Hagler seemed to show signs of slipping in the Mugabi fight. Mugabi who was more of a puncher was in fact out boxing Hagler at one point. Hagler turned the tides, but failed to do so in the Leonard match.

In hindsight I think Hagler retired at the right time. He has his marbles and health.

I think it was the right time to go, although I didn't think it was very classy of SRL not to give him a rematch. It would've been nice for Marv to round out his career with a rematch, win or lose.

He would have robbed his fans by continuing to fight.
