Did Harrison lost his concentration by clowning cost him the fight?

Up to the left hook, and even with the early KD, the fidget was tight as the judges card indicated up to that round.... Harrison started to loose concentration once he started clowning... he had a solid game plan... that was executing well... until that left hook....your thoughts... in fact... I believe before the left hook and barraged of pinches that came after... he was up in punches landed with something like 107-104 or so.... your thoughts...

No , he was fading down the stretch. It was a physical fight and he shook of a lot of big pinches in the middle rounds. He was slowing down a couple rounds leading into that, not enough to be in trouble but enough to know that the signs were there that he was gonna need to go into a defensive mode with clinching involved to get through those last two rounds. I think it may have helped Charlo get the ko by Harrison playing games and without the bravado he could have helped to hide his tiredness and saw the final bell..
So at the end yea maybe it did cost him the fight, but his conditioning was not ready for 12 rounds at the pace he set to be up on the cards .

Well it didn't help him. It made him lose focus, IMO, taking the time to make foolish moves rather than concentrate on the
guy trying to take his head off.

No, I didn’t like the clowning but it didn’t lose him the fight. They both connected on left hooks, at the same time, and Charlo had more power and a better chin. I think Harrison knew he wasn’t getting a decision again and had to open up and take chances to win. Charlo was getting outboxed all night but was always dangerous because he can punch. In the end, I’m glad it didn’t go to the cards because Charlo was going to get an undeserved decision. Still, the fight was stopped after several wild misses Charlo. I hope Charlo fights JRock. That’s a great matchup.

Agree with your comments except I did not see signs of slow down... the two previous rounds according to punchstats his output was higher than dearly rounds... as well as his connection %... IMHO, he pissed away the match

If the cards determined the final results .. who knows... it was tight... it could have been a majority draw!!

Exactly! Charlo called him a clown before the fight as well.

Fact is Charlo just knocked him the f@#K out. For some reason Harrison abandoned the body attack around the 6th or 7th, when it appeared to be serving him quite well.

Neither of these guys has top tier skills or power. It was a well matched fight.

What was truly abhorrent about the affair was the judging, as anyone with a semblance of objectivity had Harrison up by at least 3 rds at the time of the stoppage.

Harrison was fading, that body work early by Charlo paid dividends.

Agreed, I had Harrison up by 4 points at the time of the stoppage. I had Charlo only winning the 2nd due to the knockdown, the 4th, and the 7th I scored even. Jermell was fighting well, was very determined but he just wasn't winning rounds in my view. The cleaner shots round after round were coming from Harrison.

And just to compare this to other bouts where people have accused of the judges being corrupt, Harrison was winning much more clearly than Canelo was over GGG or GGG was over Canelo in their first bout. Anotherwords, in Canelo GGG 1, it was far less clear as to who was winning than in Charlo Harrison 2.

If you pay attention to and value clean punching, Harrison was winning almost every round. For 2 of the 3 judges to have Charlo up is extremely suspicious. Even the other judge that had Harrison up by only 1 point after 10, that was still too close in my estimation. Charlo is a good fighter and a big puncher, but he was being out classed in there by Harrison. Obviously he's a much more explosive puncher than Harrison, and he closed the show so the judges wouldn't be a factor, but the judges had to have an agenda or bias in favor of the $$ fighter to have Charlo winning more than a couple of rounds through 10. To give Charlo that many rounds they were not paying attention to what was landing clean.

Well said... agreed! I had had him up by two rounds... and I am conservative in m scoring...the rhythms was... Charlo won the middle minute of the round and a Harrison the beginning and end minutes

He was fading a bit. You could exactly when when he started hopping and moving more. He stopped walking Charlo down. He was still winning rounds though so it wasn't too bad.

I do think it was his fault definitely, he seemed to have the hat in the bag. But I think his output was so high due to him still trying to win those rounds and keep up with Charlo as he turned it up. His body language was showing signs of fatigue, some of his lazy movements and falling back more than he had before. He was still trying to trade and evade when given the chance. I think that clownin was just being stupid but I don't think it got him caught. Not changing up his style in the later rounds cost him
