Did Hatton duck Witter during his career ?

Yes. He wasn't a big money fight in an International sense. But its sort of like the Haye situation now, except Witter would have had a far better chance than Harrison has.

 

If he was ****ed then how come they did not fight? An easy payday and smash your mouthy rival! Answer? Witter held all domestic belts and a major belt, he could handle Hatton on his day. I'm not saying he would win, but it was a fight that was avoided plain and simple...

 

On what basis do you think Witter stood a chance in hell? I'm guessing.....the Harris fight, right?

 

With both their personalities, it could have done good business but Ricky ducked him.
He hated him so much he didn't want to fight him?? Wouldn't it be normal to want to make the fight for that reason?:huh

 

Not really when not fighting him is smarter in the long run. I mean I don't associate Hatton with having brains, but it's one of the smarter things he has done.

 

He did avoid him, the I hate him excuse is not good enough BUT he went on to fight Zoo,Mayweather and Pac so lets keep his career in perspective gents.

If you are bored then you should find some Witter fights pre 2007 and educate yourself, because your assesment of his skills is way off...it may also give you a clue as to why Hatton actually avoided him. :thumbsup

 

Correct, the only time the fight made sense was the period 2004 - 2007, after that there was zero chance of it happening

You see, I've probably seen more Witter fights than you have, so I wouldn't bother to go into a lecture about Witter pre-2007 (I mean, seriously...)

I'll tell you what, name a Witter fight you haven't seen and I'll put it up on youtube for you. And then we'll go through his deficiencies one at a time, so we get to the stage where we decide that I am right.
