I dont recall him being hurt, he may have taken a flush punch but it didnt hurt him enough that I remember it or anyone was talking about it during or after the fight. There are just people over analyzing it.
I'm from the UK and Hatton definitely hurt pacquiao. The force with with Hattons head hits Pacmans fist certainly would have caused mild bruising!
Hatton bothered Pac with some body shots but there was never a moment when Pac was hurt, he might have been off balance but nothing to do with anything Hatton did.
'Hurt' might be stretching it. I believe it buzzed him somewhat, and he lifted his hands in the air to say it didn't hurt which probably means it did get his attention. It was just one right hand, thats all he landed.
Hatton did hurt Manny Pacquiao in that fight it happend too fast to really see it............... He hurt Mannys left hand with his face..~
Hatton did land a couple, but Pacquiao was 100% not hurt. People may say he must have been hurt because he did get caught by a natural lww, but that's just their assumptions, there was no clear evidence whatsoever that Pacquiao was hurt. He didn't wobble, didn't retreat, didn't blink a ****ing eye.
It's the silliest myth in boxing, the most exhausted cliche around, that if someone smiles or gestures after being caught that they must be hurt. Grow up gents. When someone is actually hurt, they react to the punch. When they aren't hurt, they posture. Pacquiao raising his hands is just his way of saying he has shrugged off a clean shot and is ready for war - Floyd Mayweather does exactly the same thing with his big grin with the coloured gumshield. All the greats have that bit of macho in them.
Only buzzed him but never had him in trouble. If the Hatton that fought Tszyu had been in the ring then..............
I remember Hatton catching him with a good shot in the second but dont think it was anything that bothered Pac too much.
