Also, Hatton only did 120k buys vs Maussa, are you telling me, Hatton was just able to randomly pull in an extra million PPVs out of nowhere because he was fighting, or was it also because he was fighting Floyd?

It wan't becaue he was fighting Mayweather it was because of the advertising and publicity that was put into the fight . If that same effort was put into the Maussa fight he would have got the same numbers , if the same effort was put into a fight against a tree he would have got the same numbers .

But it costs a lot of money to make money , so they can't put a big build up on every fight and it takes fighter with a big reputation in America and hence carry American tv money, whose networks are prepared to spend big on advertising/hyping fights/series such as 24/7 to sell fights within the UK too .

Noone does PPV buys by himself. Why is Oscar vs Forbes not on PPV? Even Oscar needs a good dance partner to sell big on PPV.

Its not black or white. Either it was all thanks to Hatton, or it was all thanks to Floyd. Its very grey.

My opinion is that the amazing promotion methods had more to do with the amazing numbers for both ODLH - PBF and Hatton - PBF than the fighters themselves.
