Did Hatton show much improvement

hard to tell paulie malanaggi didnt do anything he only came to pick up the cheque, i think people should have been more sensible in who they picked more people should have realised that paulie looked **** he should actually have 4 losses on his record i have ndou and Ngoudjo beating him on points both these gentlemen had paulie badly hurt in there respective fights.But never the less hatton showed that he still has a little bit of juice left

a bigger puncher like ricardo torres is some 1 hatton needs to step up to if hes to silence any doubter.

 

May be but not very relavent to the debate. How do you fancy Hattons chances vs Vargas, Mayorga or Cotto? Matter of fact Shane at his ripe old age was penciled in to fight Margo. Margo declined so Shane is now fighting Andre Berto. Not bad for a guy that started at 135 aye. Meanwhile "little Ricky" ran back to 140 .. and fights .... Paulie.

 

The man's limitations at 147 are well known, documented and discussed. Let's not go over that again. You have no love for him, we know. Live with it.

 

Improvements, I dunno. About the main difference I picked up on was his control of the distance. He stayed outside of Paulie's jab well, backing off occasionally, and picked his spots to close the distance, instead of charging in at every single opportunity.

But in my opinion he used to do this anyway, it's more 'eradicating a bad habit' than 'improving'.

He certainly looked fresher than he has though, and his confidence seemed to flood back.

Oh and he landed quite a lot of lead right hands, effective ones.
