Did Haye deserve a Klitschko fight?

I am gutted the big fight is not happening, but hand on heart did he deserve a shot in the first place

Some European cruiser defences + Mormeck + Maccarioneli + Barrett = Klitchko (this simply does not add up)

I would like him to pick up the British belt against Williams in July, and then beat the lessor known Ukranian - Dimitrenko in the Autumn, and then go for a world belt.

I hope the Chagaev fight goes ahead on 20th June, and then Povetkin should be allowed his shot in the Autumn

Iknow what your saying Colin but if you look at it another way....

He wanted that shot and he went out there and caused uproar until he got it. Can't say he didn't deserve it really. If other fighters who are 'more worthy' would have done the same then they'd have probably got a shot. Without turning this into a Calzaghe bashing post, this is what he should have done. People say he avoided the big fights over in America and others say he tried but they wouldn't fight him. If he'd have wanted those fights he could have gone to the extremes that Haye has done.
Anyway yeah Haye made the fight pretty much himself so yeah he did warrant the shot

This Pete Rademachers debut was a world title shot and his 4th fight was ref'd by Rocky Marciano. Was he a celeb or something ?

i've been offline for a few days so only just heard about this!

tbh i couldn't blame wlad for fighting chag instead, making just about the same money and getting a couple of nice shiny titles thrown into the bargain.

i am gutted for haye, but he should just bite the bullet now and prove himself in the hw division.

if he can be fit for 11 july, why not wait another week and try getting himself on the mayweather undercard in the states against one of these americans who have put themselves forward to fight wlad - it could be like an eliminator.

****, i'm going to have to revert back to the donny rovers avatar until we know what he's going to do next

I think David Haye is definatly deserving of a title shot. if he didnt deserve a shot because he'd only had 2 fights at HW then by the same logic Pac didnt deserve a shot at Hatton.

    Yes.

Did Hatton deserve a shot at Mayweather?

Did Pac deserve a shot at Hatton?

Did Pac deserve a shot at ODLH?

Did Marquez deserve a shot at Diaz?

    etc etc

No he didn't. He hasn't beaten a live body at heavyweight yet, anybody without British blinkers on can recognise that. Klitschko beat that guy Barrett nearly a decade ago, he's hardly indicative of anything, and Boner...he was a stiff..no pun intended.

If he fights Chag that will be the best thing for the division.
