    The decsion has been made.

Haye pulled out of the June 20th fight with Wlad because of a bad back.

But did he make the right or wrong decsion?

IF he's legitimately injured, then he made the right move, boxing isn't cricket, it's way to dangerous to go into a fight less than 100%.

Well if he is hurt, then of course he was right to pull out. He said himself that he has to be much better than he has ever been before to win.

Impossible to answer because we don't know quite how much pain he's in or how it will impact his movements.

If its just a niggle he's possibly made a huge mistake. You never quite know when the opportunity will come around again.

He's either injured or he's worried about getting paid (or both!!). Either reason is good enough to pull out of a fight.

If he has a genuine bad injury then yes, he had no option to pull out.

If it was because of Setanta possibly, then it would be pointless fighting for little or no money.

He may have to wait in line now, there are plenty of challengers out there.
There are also mandatories to make for the Bros'.

Valuev fight would mean dealing with Don King, it would be an obvious choice but, would the parties take it?

Fight Vitali for the WBC title?

    Who knows, perhaps a contender.

Bingo. Haye can't expect to jump the queue again.

He made the right decision. If he gets beat then he looks a proper tit, especially after all the baiting he did. He needs to be 100% for this fight. If he gets beat and then comes out and says I was injured nobody will give a flying **** to be honest.
How many times have you heard a fighter coming out after a loss and saying he was injured. Its all to easy these days as an excuse.

Not like the Tyson days when he won with a broken back ha ha :)

depends on the injury....and how bad it is...Wald is not a aggresive fighter so haye wont have to use much movement...think Ruslan Chagaev will beat wald ..... Ruslan Chagaev will be a harder fight for haye if they meet.

Whatever, he's got to get in the ring again soon. I'm a big fan of his but he's got to get busy against some decent opponents or he risks just sliding into obscurity.

He's been out of the ring almost 8 months. By the time he gets in the ring again it'll likely be a year. That's just no good for a contender who now has to work his way into a mandatory position. Rather than 3 weeks this injury has cost him 18 months - 2 years. It will be 3-6 fights before he gets his shot again. And that's assuming no losses.

I think he'll be back in the mix sooner than some peopke think. The HW division is awful at the moment, it wouldn't surprise me if Haye was Wlads next opponent after Chagaev or Vits after Arreola.

He's going to have to fight somebody in the meantime that being the case.

Which is the best thing for all concerned, really. Haye has not yet fought a live contender, he can shake off the ring rust, it builds the fight up further, and also Chag is out of the picture potentially.
